Stephen Hawkings, the world famous English physicist died last week and he was battling with this disease for a long great of time and his family has confirmed that his funeral will be on March 31st and he will be buried next to people like Isaac Newton. Last week one of my favourite actors Irrfan Khan on friday revealed that he has been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumor, a rare disease that targets different parts of the body and he is out of the country for the treatment and he began his statement to the media with a quote from Margaret Mitchell's “Gone with the wind”. He said “Life's under no obligation to give us what we expect”, you know every day we wake up in the morning, we live in a world where there is a constant battle between facts and truths, but Jesus said “I am the way of truth and the life”.
So truth is not just an idea, it is not a philosophy, it is not a ideology; It is a person and the truth is Jesus and his word and the facts according to Stephen is that there is no God, he believes in no heaven and he doesn’t believe in no afterlife. But the truth is according to the Bible it starts off at the Genesis 1:1 by saying; In the beginning Gods created the Earth and the heaven and there is only one way to heaven, which is Jesus Christ according to the scripture. On the other side with Irrfan Khan there is a rare disease that the world probably don’t have a solution, but the truth according to the word of God is that by his stripes, we are healed. By his stripes we are healed that means there is no sickness that God can’t cure. And the fact on the other side is probably that you are looking at your bank account, you got an update in the morning and you check your bank account and you are one week away from the payday and there is absolutely no money in the bank and the truth is that’s a fact staring at you, but on the other side let me tell you the Bible says that; He is the Jehovah-jireh, he is your provider and he will absolutely provide for you in ways that you can’t even imagine. You could be working in a workplace and there will be politics inside your workplace and there will be probably all of those dynamics that will be stalling your promotion. But let me tell you something, the truth is as the word of God says and the words says; promotion doesn’t come from the East or West, it comes from God. Wake up in the morning, read the newspaper, it is talking about people losing jobs by the day, automation taking over and you are worried. But let me tell you the truth is that your future is absolutely secure in him and his plans for you are bigger, higher and better than what you can possibly imagine. Maybe your marriage is on the rocks, but let me tell you, that my God is the God of restoration, my God is a God of second chances. I have no idea who is that goliath that is staring at you, I have no idea what is that wall of jericho can possibly be staring at you, the only truth that I know is the one that is on your side, he says “I will make you the head and not the tail, the above and not the below” and his plans are so greater than anybody else in this world. So let me pray for you quickly, Father in the name of Jesus, I come before you with all my friends reading this, they have facts that are staring at them that are possibly scary, at this time I know that truth triumphs all facts, the truth of what your word will set them free this evening to keep on doing and pursuing the call and the destiny you have for them in their lives.
